Check out our interview with Cassidy of @cass_takes_photos below!
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): What initially attracted you to becoming a photographer?
Cassidy (C): When Instagram first launched in 2010 I took my iPod touch and started photographing and posting every interesting angle, beautiful scene and any unique view I could find. Since then photography has been an ever-growing passion of mine.
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): How long have you been a photographer?
Cassidy (C): I've been a photographer a little over a year!
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): Is this your full-time job?
Cassidy (C): On top of being a photographer, I also work doing Graphic Design and Marketing!
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): Where are you based?
Cassidy (C): I'm based in Provo, UT and I love to travel anywhere and everywhere for photos!
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): How would you describe your photography style? Your posing style?
Cassidy (C): I would say my style is light, warm and true to color. I love enhancing the beauty that is already around us. Candids are my jam, the more candid the better. I love taking photos that really draw you into the moment and make you feel like you're right there with the couple.
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): What are your top five favorite places you've traveled for weddings?
Cassidy (C): I would LOVE to shoot in Oregon, Texas, Greece, Mexico and Ireland.
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): How far in advance do clients typically book you?
Cassidy (C): Typically I get booked a few months to a year in advance for weddings, but if you need a photographer last minute reach out and I'll try to squeeze you in!
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): How many images do you typically deliver in a wedding gallery?
Cassidy (C): I deliver as many photos that turn out. As long as they aren't doubles, test shots or blinking, I give back all the photos I can!
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): Do you send clients raw unedited images?
Cassidy (C): Nope! One of the main things I get paid for is to edit the photos, so to send raw images is unnecessary.
The Borrowed & Blue Project (TBBP): What is your typical turnaround time?
Cassidy (C): For weddings it's 3 to 4 weeks and for portraits, engagements or bridals its usually 1 week.
